'Grey Sky and Granite' portrays a striking contrast between a rugged foreground dominated by thick, blackened rocks and a tranquil, greyish sky in the background.

 

The foreground features intricate textures of weathered stone, casting deep shadows under a somber, overcast sky.

 

The scene conveys a sense of quiet strength and enduring beauty, inviting viewers to contemplate the interplay of light and dark in the natural world."

 

This gorgeous artwork continues my love of the abstract landscape but with a twist.

 

 

I've changed up my usual creamy sky to create a blended grey sky indicative of an overcast sky.

 

The blackened area at the front has an unusual finish, and I encourage you to touch the actual artwork.  Run your hands over it to feel the different textures and finishes.

 

Part of the journey with my specialised artworks is the finishes.  

 

I try and create the illusion of the Australian Outback in all it's rugged terrain.

Your choice of Tassie Oak frame,  natural Oak (a slight pinkish hue which lightens as it matures, mid Oak (caramel coloured) and dark Oak (this is what I usually frame my work in)
