The Year That Was
Share
Well....
2024 is almost over
I have a lot to be grateful for.
This Year I
- Quit my full time hospo career (of 20yrs)
- Sold my gorgeous 2nd home
- relocated to a new place with a studio
- became a full time artist
- had a 2nd run on The Block
- sold a piece of art to a multi-million dollar luxury super yacht
- had my very first solo art exhibition
- started a commercial lease on my own gallery space
- got a marketing team
- worked with some great designers
- created some beautiful artworks
- sold some artworks
- was able to have Xmas with my family for the first time in 10 years
- released by first Art Book "A Journey in Art"
- bought a new birdy pet
- spent quality time with my long term partner
- made some new friends
- learnt a lot
- stayed true to myself
- and finally, the hardest thing I had to do this year, the most heartbreaking thing I've ever had to do .......... say goodbye to my beautiful fur baby Maple. After 15.5yrs together, my best mate crossed over rainbow bridge after a long battle with insulin dependent diabetes. She was my heart and she'll always have a heart. I miss her more than any word can describe.
I'm grateful for everything I experienced this year (except the last part).
I'm grateful for all my wonderful customers, who give me reason to get up and paint most days and who believe in what I do and have helped me live my ultimate dream of being a full time artist.
I'm grateful to my family and friends who have ridden this rollercoaster with me all year.
And finally, I'm grateful for my supporters and followers, who give me the strength to continue in this crazy art world.
So, from me to you .......
