Desert Billabongs by Kylie Daniel
This neutral pallete abstracted landscape fits into the "japandi" decor style with its soft beige, caramel and chocolate tones.
It's size and shape make it the perfect piece to slide over a beige lounge or hang above a fake fireplace, light up a bedhead, or long hallway wall.
It's minimalistic approach to landscape essentially showcases a creamy blended sky with blacks and chocolates in the foreground to show land mass.
Trickles of water run across this vast area in the front and slight peeks towards the horizon line indicating that the outback dam/river is just outside the artwork picture.
I love the simplicity of this artwork. It has depth and tonnes of texture and this particular artwork makes you (and your friends) want to touch the piece and feel the strength of that texture.
Art is not only a visual experience, but also a physical experience, and that's why each piece I create, is created with the viewer in mind.
I want you to touch the artwork, feel the different textures and finishes. The smooth area vs the textured areas. All this gives indication towards what the actual geological formations of the land might actually feel like.
If you cant get to the Australian Outback, then let me take you there with my Abstract Australian Outback Series.
