Google’s definition of a Sand Storm also called a dust storm, is a meteorological phenomenon common in arid and semi-arid regions. Dust storms arise when a gust front or other strong wind blows loose sand and dirt from a dry surface.
This is my abstract interpretation. Rich browns sweep across the arid plains by the side of the road as the dust storm gathers around.
